Blew what? The series has only improved since then, especially the combat. It's still really braindead but at least there's a larger variety of enemies that can't be countered and the boss fights aren't total garbage. Assylum's combat is the worst by far.

Nah, City's fights were mediocre western boss fights, Assylum's were straight trash though even by western standards. The combat is pretty bad, it's the one game in the series where mashing counter is perfectly viable for the entire game. It doesn't have the best everything else either, the later games improved the stealth and the asylum itself is a boring environment to travel though.

The only thing I liked about Knight was how technically impressive it was especially when you consider it's still Unreal Engine 3 and that it's being pushed to the absolute limit.

It's like a textbook example of terrible pacing and world building. I played this game with a guy who only knew the movies and watching his brain fry at how the immortal ninja man and his ninja clan were introduced in the game was amazing. The expectation that you're supposed to care about Thalia despite the whole relationship being presented as TELL TELL TELL with no show is below amateur. Then there was Clayface, a great twist if you know the character, not so much if not.

>As soon as you reach the Eridium Blight the game goes down the shitter in terms of balance with enemies taking absurd amounts of damage to kill, and then you reach the BL1 areas and you want to die from how long it takes to do anything and how you die so quickly.
>Getting actual decent guns as drops without farming is nigh impossible while a gun in BL1 could carry you for hours and were generally much more favorable compared to all the shit gimmicks 2 has.
I will never stop having BL2, it did everything wrong barring have more diverse areas, and even those diverse areas are enormous with enemies nonstop so you never have time to breathe.
