The way I see it, you can't do both what I described and actual gameplay. You'd have to focus purely on the atmosphere and visuals. Sound effects, etc. Shit would be a huge undertaking. It'd be a game where you wander around and witness shit happen until you die. Have basic shit like drinking water and eating food to survive.

Save the actual survival shit like combat for the sequel. If they tried to do everything at once, it'd never get done. The graphics would be garbage by the time it ships.

I always found it interesting how it was a small plot point in the novel that the dinosaurs in the park weren't realistic in the first place. They're already genetically modified monsters, and probably don't even look like how they did in reality.

I'd like a park management sim where you're in charge of R&D, and have to come up with different dinosaurs by mixing and matching the DNA and shit. Hopefully with better success than the randomly generated monstrosities wondering around No Man's Sky.
