I'm using Depezador right now. Also fuck me I'm stuck on one of these levels. I need to work with these looters to find some maintenance tunnel, and this other looter wants me to get him drugs or some shit, and there's these blue and red Doom enemies spawning forever, and more than half the map is ridiculously dark and I don't know where to go. I saw there's a talkable looter guy on a catwalk above a corridor, and the catwalk goes into a hole in the wall, but I have no idea how to get up there. So many dark dead ends and shit. And there's no walkthrough or guide or anything to this. Help?

The thing with Mars is that portals stay open even if you die, save and quit etc. The hardest part is getting the first portal, the one in ruins, because there's an interceptor spawn spot there which will respawn it ridiculously fast, and the Fed patrols there are armed with TRK-AD anti-materiel rifles, so heavy armour is less of a lifesaver. Hacking the 'ceptor would be pretty cool, never tried it though. I guess if you don't have Bearkiller you can get the TRK-AD and probably some SMG for close combat. As long as you activate the first portal, even if you lose all the resurrectors in process you still won.

Fastest way to grind Brouzouf:

>enter Purge
>kill the 2 Interceptors at the start
>repeat

Fastest way to grind exp:

>enter ruins teleport, kill the Deus Ex, back throgh teleport
>enter teleport to elevator, run forward until you can see the head of the other Deus Ex above you, kill that one and back... if he's to far away to see from there (he starts to move away from his spawn position when the Interceptors aggro him) kill him from the ruins too
>wait for respawn & repeat

Easy way for newbies to farm:

>medium or hard difficulty (you lose lots of exp when you die)
>get bearkiller or the armor penetration sniper if you don't have it
>looter antenna teleport
>camp on top of the bridge, kill the 2 Interceptors and the Deus Ex at the ruins

The best description of EYE I've ever seen is "Serious Sam made by huge Deus Ex fanboys". There's also story which is completely insane, but the main attraction is a great variety of weapons, augs and magic powers to wipe out waves of enemies in a gloomy post-post-apocalyptic-cyberpunk-future.

There we go. Now we're getting somewhere. A general statement like "E.Y.E. is Deus Ex-y" or the game was made by "Deus Ex fanboys" says absolutely nothing about the game. But a statement like that greentext does. So if you wanted to tell someone about this game, you should say:

There is an AI preset for stealth. A setting that alters the AI's functions so that a stealth style is viable. I've personally never tried it.

I just find that "Serious Sam made by Deus Ex fans" is a very short and to the point way of explaining what EYE is - it's not Deus Ex, despite feeling mechanically similar, because the focus is on fighting lots of mooks. It's concise, most people know what Deus Ex and Serious Sam are.

That's why I said it's similar to Deus Ex AND Serious Sam. I mean, if you want to dig really deep it's not similar to Serious Sam at all because Serious Sam combat relies on finely tuned spawns of monsters that force you to pay attention and prioritize targets, and in EYE things just spawn randomly depending on your AI setting and you mow them down, but it's a paradoxical combination of genres that is sure to catch people's attention. I really like that description and I wasn't even the one to come up with it.
