I think they are, but I said the same shit before Halo 5 how they are learning from their mistakes from 4, and look how that turned out. But in their defense they were both rushed as fuck and it seems like they are pushing the execs at MS for more development time hence no Halo 6 teasers at E3 this year. The lore stuff only really applies to Halo 5, primarily Master Chief's relationship to Blue Team. I remember saying aloud "what the fuck" when they tried to imply multiple times that Master Chief and the Blue Team are a "family" and we barely see any interaction between them in the game.
