Armored core went to shit with 4 and the "nexts" gundam lite boost to win gameplay. They really dumbed the series down customization wise and gameplay wise, no point in using anything but a light/mid weight bipedal AC. Just go play zone of the enders if you want zippy mechs, or better yet virtual on.

Victory is one of my favorite entries but I can see why it's hard for some people when it's almost nothing but death and despair every other episode. I hope you give it another chance and see it through to the end in the future because there's a pretty cool reversal of Tomino's usual old people suck message in Gundam.
