Sonic 2 was basically a straight line for most of the game that made it too easy to maintain speed compared to something like S3&K. The fact that S3&K objectively had superior exploration (albeit at the cost of that easy constant speed fix) is also a point potentially in its favor.

It's basically a comparison of extremes.

typically it's done on the same (or similar) engine too, and this allows for some of the cool ideas that didn't make it into the first game to be done. or done right.

Is there any way to play 3 without a 360? A friend got me into the series and I already played CE and 2 on PC.
Also, I fucking love 2 only because it fixes my problems with CE and adds more shit. But I will admit the MP is pretty fucking unbalanced. Nothing beats CE custom multiplayer tho

well Xbone can play MCC, but I'm assuming you meant without a console.

It's not halo 3 but look up Halo Online, it was a russia only f2p version that was leaked and hacked into a free community-driven online halo. I don't know how the original Halo Online was supposed to work, but when I played it all the servers were basically in "halo 3 mode" meaning no sprint, h3 weapon set, etc. Maps like Valhalla are in the game. However, I haven't played it in a while so it may be different now or even gone, who knows.

There's a subreddit for it, I think that's where guides and most of the community is at. it's fun as fuck, I should pick it up again.

Well shit. Guess I'm gonna dust off my 360 and hope I can find it at some shitty game store. Buying an Xbone just for one game collection seems pretty fucking stupid, especially since I would have to pay for the best part of the game: multiplayer
