Honestly depends on whether or not you travel a lot and/or you're just away from your computer often.
I have a gaming rig but recently bought a gaming laptop knowing that I'll be spending less time at home. Honestly it was a fantastic decision, plus its battery life is pretty good too.

I only use it for overwatch and HoTS I don't know how well it plays other games

the cheapest laptop you can find with a GTX 1050 will at least let you play most if not every current game at 1080p/60fps at medium/low settings. I think you'd be able to find one at like $700 with an i7.

Also, most laptops these days come with bluetooth by default, so you can connect the laptop through HDMI to a TV and play with a Dualshock 4 controller or something from the couch.
