Realistically, how many Wii U ports do you think the Switch will see?

Whats a wii u? all im seeing is the switch getting a ton of original content.

I'm sure Nintendo realizes the market for people who didn't buy the Wii U but already bought a Switch and are hungry

looks like Bayo1 and 2 are on the way, if not 3 already
just gimme Tropical Freeze, W101, Mario Marker (if not a sequel) and DKC Tropical Freeze (if not a collection with Returns on the Wii coupled in too)

They'll probably leave a couple so that the Wii U has "its own games" and pretend it was relevant. Nintendo are pretty careful with their brand image.

I don't really consider BotW a port, given that it released on both systems at the same time.

However, I'd say the most likely are:
>Bayonetta 2 (only because of Sega's tease)
>Xenoblade Chronicles X
>Sm4sh (unless they announce a new one soon)

Every DX game so far, and to be fair there's only been two, has had a pretty healthy amount of DLC to begin with and multiplayer heavy. Nintendo straight up said Pokken DX was happening because they believed there was a long life ahead of it that just wasn't possible with the Wii U's install base.

Some games like Mario Maker and Star Fox Zero just don't seem likely to me given their controls. I feel like 3D World would take away from Odyssey and Splatoon DX would take away from Splatoon 2.

To be honest family, I just don't see that many Wii U DX versions happening. Would love to see Wonderful 101 again though.

Given their policy of having to add content in order to port it, I can really only see Smash and Mario Maker getting ports.

Pikmin 3 would be nice, even better would be a pikmin collection with all 3 games.

I'd love a chance to play Wonderful 101 again, but the only things I see possible are Smash, maybe Mario Maker with some added content/features, and maybe Bayonetta.
A lot of people say Maker wouldn't work because of controls, but I kind of just get a crackpot idea in my head of it being played with a mouse a la Mario Paint, since the game is already taking so much from Paint anyway. Since the Switch has USB ports in the dock they don't really need to make any new peripherals for it, either.
