Honestly, pirate it.

I adore the game but don't like the developers. It's also a polarizing experience, you'll love or hate it. Play it first and then decide.

If you want a better (and canon) story, hang out with Bea at every opportunity. If you want a more funsies game about dicking around with your gay friend, go with Gregg.

I didn't like the ending, but to be honest I wasn't terribly invested in the "Main story". It was kid kid of a side thing.

90% of my interest in the game came from the personal character development and interaction. Bea's story is great.

leaving aside if it's a game or not. There are barely any mini-games regardless who you spend with unless you spend on your laptop playing an 8-bit zelda style game.
The story gets really off track, it started good, there was a setting it catches your interest with being mysterious but suddenly they chose to give it a twist which reflects the antifa some anons point out from one of the developers because when you play it, you'll realize is unnecessary, almost feels forced they shove it in. While some other dialogue can be interpreted as youngsters haven't face reality.
Has good music, your dialogue options don't affect the story at all unless is a yes or no which limits you to do extra stuff but sometimes can talk again and answer yes if you said no
