I was bringing the WiiU everytime I came over for Smash 4, Mario Kart 8, and the multiplayer mario games (both News and 3DWorld)

It was a natural progression to turn the WiiU into a multiplayer powerhouse. I can play every Smash on it, nearly every mario kart, any of our old gamecube and n64 staples from growing up.

Wii, Xbox 360, Xbone, and PS4 literally all can't fucking remotely stand up to the WiiU's library. PS3 is the only other console in recent memory with games on it and it's obviously quite a bit stronger than the WiiU.

The objective fact is that the WiiU's library is stacked with good exclusives and any self respecting video game enthusiast shouldn't be playing 99% of multiplats on a console to begin with. When you're in as deep as a /v/ poster should be exclusives are the only reason to turn on your console. And in that regard my WiiU was turned on and getting use out of it way more than anything else I have in the 4 years since I got the thing.

It had such charm, every area was excellently designed with lots of fun dialogue and tidbits. It felt very alive unlike Sticker Star which was a soulless husk. Easily best level design in the series. A lot of the enemies and bosses had fun designs and concept and good writing all around.

The only drawback is fights are too easy (Paper Mario was never hard to begin with but this is on a whole new level). Most people claim the combat is shit in the first place but that's not true. I thought shallow combat was to blame too but late in the game it gets harder and enemies won't just stand there while you bombard them with overpowered cards. It becomes more of a puzzler to figure out what to do and when to make the enemy vulnerable. I wish the whole game was like that.

I dunno why I'm posting this because people will just go "NOT LIKE PM1&2 SO IT SUCKS I'M NOT GIVING IT A CHANCE!" and on the off chance they give it a chance they probably still won't like it like me.

It's great.
When you're playing as Jack you're lucky to have a gun to fight the dinos and bugs off with, and ammo is scarce so they don't last long. You'll spend more time fighting with spears than you will with ranged weapons, and the spears eventually break, especially if they're bone and not proper spears.
The fauna is faster than you, blends in with the environment, is almost always more numerous than you, and in some cases (the V-Rex), impossible to fight. There's one part of the game where you have to distract the V-Rex while your shipmates struggle to open gates to run away from it, which basically boils down to kiting it through stone structures knowing that something capable of swallowing you whole has a bead on you and will not be stopped.
It's an extremely tense game, especially since you're almost always separated from other people and forced to go at it alone. It makes playing the Kong levels where you beat down the smaller dinos and rip the jaws of the V-Rexes cathartic by the time you get to them.
