It's fine and ducks low underneath most axe/GS horizontal swings, is really hard to telegraph properly because it looks a lot like several other stabs, and is generally better than most other weapon art attacks for roll catching. That's not even the cool part though- the lion roar instant shield-breaks from like five feet away, has priority over a lot of hyper armor'd attacks, and is ALSO a block.
