I used to like playing SWG, then I realized I'm playing a game with lore based on fucking star wars and feel really childish for some reason.

Also, having to buff before doing literally anything is not fun

I'm still mad too OP. Fuck you Smedley.
>>

>>
>>382687216
Just about every game has a childish "lore". Star Wars just happens to be an IP aimed at younger people instead of pretentious neckbeards.
>>
>>382689860
I can name literally 4000 games that don't have childish lore.

But I won't.

There was something about SWG that made it feel a lot more immersive than most games today.

And they spaghettied so fucking hard once they saw WoW's success.

Fun Fact: Star Wars Galaxies was designed By Ralph Coster, who also designed Ultima Online.

Both games after a few years were taken over and changed to be completely different from their original vision.

Oh I wasn't saying he is to blame, just saying he is responsible for creating 2 of the greatest MMORPG's.

Shit, Ultima Online is still officially running, at 20+ years old. (its not longer the same game it once was, but still)

Trandoshan Teras Kasi/Doctor reporting in
>>
I remember being so young in that game, and I finally got bounty hunter. I tracked some jedi dude to a guild hall in a player city, whatever the dominating Imperial guild was on Scylla.

I'm super young, super green, and I walk in and the dude is mediating around some ungodly amount of force crystals in the middle of this beautifully decorated building. And then some of his friends come out of the side room and ask what I'm doing, and I spaghetti'd everywhere and asked them where they sold land speeders.

I bought some swoop, and started training up another class that day.

Looking back, if I jumped the dude there - would his friends have been able to attack? I could never understand how PVP flagging went for jedi's groupmates.

Me and my buddies were bounty hunters that were a part of the 'Imperial Anti-Poaching Organization'. Pretty much we'd cruise around the Krayt Dragon spawns on Tatooine and tell people that were farming for pearls that they were poaching.
Either they could pay us a fine and get the proper 'hunting tags' to continue, or we would put a bounty on them and kill them for 'resisting arrest'.

God damn I miss those days...

It was a French MMO that came out around the same time as SW Galaxies. Built around a living planet, had seasons, weather and a loot system almost 100% built around crafting. You could dig, or get mats from mobs. You then used these mats to create weapons, armour and everything. And everything degraded and broke after a time. Better gear came from getting mats from dangerous digging areas or very hard boss mobs.

Much of the game was not finished when it came out, but it was still very different than anything else out and maybe ever come out. After a few months the devs decided the game was playing too arcadey for their liking. So they came out with a balance patch. Think of it like walking out of Stormwind and killing a few level wolves. And then after the patch the lvl 1 wolfs hitting like Molten Core trash. It was unplayable. Was not fixed for a while, devs liked it. Then they decided to bring it down a bit, but not much. It was still very hard for a starter to even kill 1 starter mob without dying. The result was a dead game, money run out. Promised features never got made or fixed. Then they went bankrupt and the game has changed hands multiple times with barley 100 players.

Judging by the threads I've seen, you've got a while to wait before people are comfortable to admit that Kojima just fucked it up and the only truly unfinished thing was Kingdom of the Flies. The game was always going to be a mess with the worst boss fights, wasted potential in the story and ill thought out execution of some cool ideas.
>>
>>382696672
yeah and nobody plays it, they have to struggle to organize enough players to get a single game going. i would love to play it if there was a playerbase, but instead i'm stuck playing modern tf2 with 50 different weapons for each class. hell, i'd rather play QTF, but goons only run private games on saturdays now.

The problems with the game stemmed from Konami not allowing Kojima to take the game in certain directions. Kojima resisted cus he's become spoiled with his fame, and got smited by the nazis for it. About half of the cutscenes we got in the finished game were not directed by Kojima.

Konami is literally cancer. The worst publisher in the industry but no one knows since they're in Japan and the Japanese don't whine about every injustice they suffer over social media.

Not him but killing jedis was easy. They either bought their Jedis off ebay or went through so many classes so quickly trying to unlock it that they never got good at anything.

Bounty Hunter scatter-pistol and it's specialised skills was enough to wipe out any Jedi. If you want lore reasons then the scatter pistol is firing 5 shots at once. They also have flame throwers. Jedis can't deflect a 30 foot wide sheet of napalm.
>>
>>382697726
By ganging up on them with other bounty hunters or not being a shitter. Either way they were always afk in their locked house
>>
>>382698173
It came out, was fun, then they started getting shit on by WoW and they tried desperately to make it better, but they incrementally made it worse and worse with each patch and expansion.

I remember playing this game and I honestly can't remember a time I was so fucking bored. I think I started right when it started going to shit, and they were hemmoraging subs.
>>
>>382698314
>can't block napalm
Why not? With all the force power they got, why couldn't they just push all that shit to the side?

Not being argumentative, I'm genuinely curious. They seem to be able to move shit anywhere at any time with it, why would fire be different?
>>
>>382698571
The original SWG was fucking boring.
Try the SWGEMU if you ever get curious.

You will be bored within minutes of trying the mission terminals to train skills
>>
>>382698314
>Jedis can't deflect a 30 foot wide sheet of napalm.
lol, force cloak, improved force knockdown, improved force suppression as you are getting up. now you are at the mercy of the jedi if you weren't killed during force suppression, and he has force aura and force resist states for massive defense, force shock to debuff you, and immense amounts of force healing, especially if the jedi went master.

the only time a bounty hunter is easily going to kill the jedi is if the jedi is a complete fucking braindead retard, or a padawan.
>>
>>382698173
the developer posted a blog about it. basically playerbase was bleeding out (dropped like 30% over several months or something) so they reacted to this by changing the core mechanics of the game, which included most of the good things about the game.

people fail to explain how that the game was deeply flawed before the change, because they only focus on the positive things that got removed.

also there's some private server that runs off donations that hits up /v/ for money every so often (this is probably one of those times)
>>
>>382697760
I'm no Kojima hater, I love the guy and his wacky headspace but do you have any proof of anything you've just claimed? Kojima knew what game was being made and was going to come out and chose to misrepresent it, that was a very big mistake.

No

Smedly is still alive and kicking and he couldn't give two shits about the lost potential of SWG

SWG was the best MMO ever created imo. Why? Because the entire game revolved around players. A completely 100% player driven economy, a completely 100% player driven medical system, and housing, and vehicles, and animals.

Everything was crafted by other players. Hell, you even HAD to learn skills from other players as there were no skill trainers that could teach you the languages and stuff

Then JTL came in and we had a decent successor to the X-Wing/TIE-Fighter series. And just like the base game, the entire space game was player driven. You could customize your ships completely with custom parts and decorations. You could have a fucking orgy party on your Yacht if you wanted by bringing a group up to your ship that was able to walk around while someone flew the ship through hyperspace and travel the galaxy

The base SWG was absolute garbage. There was literally no story content or point to the game. But that was ok. You could go dancing in Theed, hunting Squills on Tatooine, go fight Night Witches on Dathomir, or just literally travel any planet finding POI's and player-run cities & vendors. It was fucking amazing and I miss my friends and the game so much

God I wish I had a better PC back then

Also, fuck you "Combat Upgrade"

I had just managed to get Jedi after grinding out the entire fucking Village bullshit as I got stuck with having to grind Grenadier, Combat & a few other bullshit skills, and then the CU comes in and invalidates all my work by making Jedi incredibly easy to get

You couldn't start as one at least, but in the next big game update, the "New Game Enhancements" suddenly you could immediately become a Jedi. Jedi used to be so extremely rare they were almost a myth until the Holocron system was finally revealed. I was half-way through the Holocron system when the Village update hit forcing me to have to switch to that

>>
>>382698314
>>382698880

I really hate the fucktarded levels of OP that Jedi became in the extended universe and prequels. They're warrior monks with insane fitness, endurance, and fighting prowess. Their connection to the Force makes their balance inhuman, their timing basically precognition, and their manual dexterity unmatched. They can also pull some sick parlor tricks using the Force like telekinesis and physical feats.

However, they're still mortal. They can make mistakes, lose fights, panic, ect. A skilled and determined bounty hunter outfitted with the right kit should be able to take one down.

Having them be super-duper invincible space wizards with a counter to any and every possible danger isn't interesting. Luke in Empire Strikes back after he leaves Dagobah is probably my favorite representation of a Jedi. He's resourceful, fast, agile, and all around Hell to deal with. But he wasn't prequel or EU level of unstoppable space magician.

Hell, even The Phantom Menace got this closer to right. Qui-gon and padawan Obi-wan were just the right level of physically capable and "mystic". The fight against Maul is what I imagine a fight between these fuckers should look like.
>>
>>382686072

I thought the CU was okay and that first expansion that added space combat was great but man the NGE was a mistake.
>>
>>382705526

Yeah the CU was nowhere near as good as pre-CU, but the game was still good. A lot of good and famous crafters/doctors left, but still tons remained and the economy stabilized once everyone got used to the new stats on weapons and stuff

But the NGE was just a big kick in the dick to anyone who played SWG from the beginning. It was completely 100% marketed to new players and basically gave the middle finger to anyone who had been playing the game before. Which I find ironic since the people playing the game were the only reason SWG was still afloat. It was bleeding subscribers but was still managing to stay above Titanic levels of disaster. Once the NGE hit, and the game was suddenly marketed around not being your own common player in the SW universe but instead be the heroic Jedi like Luke Skywalker! Or be the devious smuggler like Han Solo! Suddenly hero portraits replaced all the classes and it became a giant wank fest on who had the biggest e-dick

JTL was a great expansion and I'll fight anyone who says it wasn't. Yeah, it can't beat TIE-FIghter or X-Wing. But it was the closest thing we will ever get to those original flight sims and it was a pretty damn good attempt.

>>
>>382707520
People were starting to get used to the CU when they fucked us over with the NGE.

When the CU first came out people were pissed. What amazes me is that they did it twice.
>>
>>382686072
SWG was way ahead of its, and was a great and deep and complex mmo, unfortunately this type of stuff doesnt sell very well due to the fact that the average person is a fucking retard.

Wow sold well, due to the fact it was really accessible and simple and colourful and attractive and utterly inoffensive.

The downfall of SWG came when they started wanting it to be more like wow.

Wow literally destroyed the mmo industry.
>>
>>382707520

Well that was the whole thing, was that it made everything easier. It fucked with everyone who had spent months upon months, if not years trying to unlock Jedi, and it ruined a lot of crafters by completely changing up how weapons and stuff were made. It was not a welcome addition to the game, but it was an addition that people eventually got used to

You can see then what happened when the NGE hit. You had people who had decided to stick it out with the CU, who had seen their business plummet into the ground, or had had all their hard work invalidated by some random noob who had only been playing for 2 weeks. And the NGE was just the final nail in the coffin

SOE somehow, in their infinite wisdom, thought that the NGE would bring in thousands of new subscribers by appealing to the younger audience by making things super easy. Well, they were wrong and not only did it not bring people in, but most of the people who had stuck around left.

This

The average person did not want to spend months upon months or even years learning the intricate crafting system of SWG. They had to set up their own resource harvesting machinery, fuel it, pay maintenance on them, then they had to buy a house and stick it somewhere where people would frequent. Then they have to get recognized as a solid crafter by crafting rare items and selling consistent quality gear. Then they also had to have connections to other businesses and guilds to contract out help for rare resource gathering. Then they had to worry about if they should join a guild and settle town in a town because they would have to take taxation under consideration. Hell, they even had to worry about how to decorate their shop. SWG had the most amazing housing system out of any game ever. You could drop any item in your inventory and move it anywhere you wanted to. Not to mention the shit tons of furniture that you could make

God I wish I still had my screenshots of some of the most amazingly decorated houses/shops that I went to. I literally became like those HGTV shows and went around just visiting other people's houses on every planet and admiring the decor and time put into them
>>
>>382701573
I think that's a good point about the story. Pretty much everyone agrees that SWG was amazing, and yet it had such a terrible base narrative. I think that really says a lot about why people like to play MMORPGs.

>>382686072
I'll never forget or forgive. Smed can suck me.

>lightsaber color crystals had elemental damage properties.

>>
>>382708770

Exactly anon

I, and pretty much everyone else I met, wanted to play SWG so we could be just the common, every day person in the Star Wars universe. We didn't want to be the heroes who went off to save the galaxy, but the people who tried to make a living while under the threat of the Empire. You don't mess with the Empire in SWG, as even just using a /slap emote against a Stormtrooper would result in an instant deathblow (or was it an incap?)

There were also raids on Rebel-sympathizing cities, which is what my picture here is from: >>382701573

The guy said on reddit a few years ago that he had a special treat for ex SWG players to make up for the mistakes that were made for the game. He made it sound like it would be a spiritual successor of sorts.

It was later revealed that this was H1Z1.

That reminds me of why they avoided getting rid of various exp penalties in EverQuest for a long time. "If we did it now everyone who had to level with them in place would complain."

I never got to play SWG.

I regret it to this day.

I suspect that SWGEmu just isn't the same, much like vanilla WoW servers just aren't the same as vanilla WoW. Everything has been datamined; everyone knows the ins and outs of every single class, whats best and whats shit, where to go for what thing, ect. There's no mystery.

It doesn't help that SWGEmu has a small playerbase and I'm a complete autist incapable of making friends or even talking to people.

Oh and, fuck macros/botting. I hate how the game revolves around botting skills up.

That's probably why I liked H1Z1 so much.

But right now on the test realm they have a NGE equivalent in testing where you can only build on pre-determined plots instead of wherever the fuck you wanted.

Oh man, player bounties were so fucking amazing in SWG

/v/ would probably laugh at it, but the best times were when you would roleplay as a Bounty Hunter and get a Jedi who would roleplay like a Jedi. Chasing him half-way across the Galaxy as he just barely manages to escape your grasp, finally catching him down before he can reach the safety of his house

Then the combat. I once had a duel with a Jedi last for 3 hours. My entire fucking doctor buffs ran out which is what finally managed to kill me. I was a Melee oriented BH with being a Tera-Kasi Master and stacking defense from like Fencer and shit so I was incredibly hard to kill. I lost like an entire set of Composite Armor from that fight it was so crazy. And at the end of it all, the Jedi says some corny line about how he's sorry he had to kill me, yada yada the Force, yada yada, as he bows at me and WALKS away. As I wake up from the cloner, I get a message from the dude saying it was the most amazing fight of his life and he wanted to add me to his friends list

I have so many stories like this from being on both sides. Had amazing experiences running from bounty hunters as a fledgling Jedi and hunting them
>>
>>382701573
I spent most of pre cu running on a 32mb graphics card and it was hell. It would take 1-2 minutes to load into corellia and most of the time it would time out.
I ended up getting a new card later and I was amazed at how different everything looked, the models for travel tickets were just like grey bricks and then the new card made them have actual detail to them.
>>
Well, I'll just tell a quick story anyways

So, I was a fledgling Jedi. Had just managed to unlock my Force skills and had begun to train up my Lightsaber skills. Anyone who has played Jedi pre-CU knows just how fucking hard it was to get Force/Lightsaber EXP. And how dangerous it was doing that as if you were spotted with a Lightsaber by an NPC mob you were immediately penalized with a "Visibility" effect. The more "visibility" you got, the more of a chance you had to be tracked down by a Bounty Hunter. And God forbid you ever decide to equip your Jedi robes or Lightsaber in a city as Stormtroopers would attack you on site, and though not too hard to defeat, basically brings down the entire galaxy upon you.

Well anyways, I was grinding on Dantooine when I get accidentally spotted by a random NPC mob. I KNOW my visibility is maxed out because it wasn't the first time, and I immediately unequip all my shit and start to head back to the safety of my player house. Which was sadly, 2 planets away. So, I'm riding my Swoop for like 30 minutes to get to the nearest city, then hop onto a shuttle to the Starport, and catch a ride to Tatooine. I get to Tatooine when I notice I'm being trailed. I hop on my Swoop and take off while the guy behind me hops on his and begins to follow me into the wilderness. I'm like 2km from my house when I accidentally run into a Wind Harvestor which allows the BH to jump off and destroy my Swoop. I have barely any Lightsaber defense, so he is able to get past a lot of my defense and buffs. So, I go into ultra desperation mode and manage to break off combat and equip my regular Armor and switch to my TKM weapon. I come at him and we have like a 45 minute long fight which culminates in me losing. The BH was such a bro though and messaged me later saying he would help me grind some EXP with his Jedi to make up for the EXP I lost for dying as one (Jedi's were penalized big time if they died. Hell there used to be perma-death even

SWG was never properly optimised, but it always had a shitload of graphical options to tweak shit down, i have tried emu in the last couple of years, and with a modern pc you can just brute force through all the unoptimised shit and crank the graphics right up, the game still looks nice to his day and has probably aged better than every other mmo from that generation
>>
I only started playing post NGE and the game only got better from there. Crafting, city building and space were all great, although players having disputes and hating each other was the best part of the game. My server had a massive server wide war against one imperial guild that everyone hated. They played cheap and would toggle on and off war with different guilds to isolate and crush the small ones. At the same time they had some of their medics leave their guild and continuously ressurect their members while being unattackable. It got to the point where the rebels would work with the other imperial guilds in the middle of the PVP zone to help take them down. Eventually the war ended after the leader of that guild leaked his own phone number out to other players and they emailed it around ingame, which resulted in around 50 bans. Some of them ended up being unbanned later on after he admitted he did it on purpose on ingame chat. By that time the server was dying and his guild transferred to a larger server. Then some other rival guilds transferred along with them to keep the feud going.

>>382697726
I remember people in the game who would craft items with the same name as their characters and place it in their house so the bounty hunter system would have a chance of glitching out and sending hunters to their empty homes. It never seemed to work for me, but then again I wouldn't really know how many bounty hunters might have gotten stuck knocking on the door to an empty house.

Shame it's gone, but I wouldn't say it was "ruined by the developers." Pieces of shit at NCsoft pulled the plug, but I thought Paragon Studios was doing well with it even near the end. Mission Architect exploits were bullshit, but other than that I liked the additional content they were rolling out, especially the incarnate system.

>>
seriously, why the fuck do we NOT have a City of Heroes emulation project going on right now? Should've started years ago already, what the actual fuck!?!?!
>>
>>382714473

Right, because they're 2 completely similar games

The system worked better in SWG because it obviously takes place in the Star Wars universe; a future where pretty much anything you can think of is possible. And in-game, you can do just about anything from being a lowly Dancer dancing in cantina's for money, to a politician running his own city, to a Jedi Knight, to a soldier of the Empire or the Rebels. You could do anything in the Star Wars universe.

Hell, you could go up to Darth Vader on... Corellia? was it, pimp slap him and get instantly killed

Or spit on a Stormtrooper and be fined credits

Pretty much the only thing you could not do in SWG was anything story-related
>>
>>382714661
SEGS had started an emulator project long before CoH shut down (as early as 2006 I believe) but they didn't get very far with it. Not sure why there weren't efforts put towards bringing the game back before jumping onto new projects from the ground up; it seemed strange to me that with such a passionate - albeit small - playerbase that no one stepped up to the plate. I mean equally "popular" games seemed to start back up soon after being shutdown, like SWG or Warhammer Online.
>>
>>382693872
the was dead for like 5 years before it shut down. where did all these coh niggers come from anyway? for the final years coh was nothing more than a virtual chat room. game was dead. the fact that it lasted that long is remarkable. i really don't believe all these people played coh. it's more like capeshit retards regretting that they missed out

Exactly man. If WARHAMMER ONLINE got a fucking revival project why cant CoH get one? It makes no sense and I'm fucking frustrated I'm powerless to the point that the only thing I can do about this matter is talk about it and be mad or sad with/about it...Seriously, such good game, such sad death...
>>
>>382716074
I remember playing it back in 2009 and it was really popular, the only problem is I was too much of a retard back then and didn't try to make friends ingame, within a month I left the game, I really regret not sticking with it.
>>
>>382714661
because no one actually played the game
>>
>>382716513
sure, and mmos with shit population never get emulation projects...oh wait
>>
>>382716681
swg was a good game and a sandbox. coh was a theme park with little content and an extensive character design system, for the time
>>
SWG was shit from the start

>ranged classes literally fucking useless
>any serious pvp had people get fencer/teras kassi or pikeman or some such shit and then literally twirl in front of you
>to grind xp and armor items you need to keep killing cavemen, nightsisters and bull rancors all day, every day which you can do solo if you're buffed
>any multi-person raid-like quest was total shit with stormtroopers having more HP than a Death Star
>farming corellian mobs to get CARPET GLUE drops that sold for millions
>bears repeating that RANGED CLASSES WERE SHIT

I mean how the fuck do you even manage to fuck up the setting in such a huge way that ranged classes are borderline useless in a SW setting.

I did like the huge planets, player-based cities, set-pieces and how they implemented the space expansion with the ships. That was pretty comfy.
Also using your speeder or a mount to roam around had a great feel to it.

But the basics were botched and they never repaired it.
>>
>>382716181
Warhammer had actually fun pvp though.

RoR is pretty good for a revival. My only complaint is that some specs are still broken like melee WP, or hell all of SW.

They fixed melee WP with an experimental mode thing that tied your auras to a 'stance'; righteousness was melee dps, grace was melee healing, devotion was backline healer. It worked fucking GREAT, the only thing was that grace healing was a little too strong. Finally WP melee DPS was viable.

Then, for NO FUCKING REASON AT ALL, they disabled and removed experimental mode, instead of just tweaking the grace numbers. They gave some bullshit nonsense excuse like 'oh its confusing for new players because we cant edit the client directly yet'. Complete horseshit since everyone playing that game is a vet and there ARE no new players, and there was NOTHING WRONG WITH KEEPING EXPERIMENTAL ACTIVE UNTIL THE CLIENT PATCHER COMES OUT.

FUCK those niggers for giving me my precious melee DPS WP then tearing it away again.

Especially fuck that cunt wargrimnir. Holy shit that guy is such a cancerous piece of human garbage who abuses his power. White Lion is getting some changes worked into the release of the client patcher which will eventually come out, and someone suggested that they also include the WP DPS like they said they were going to, and this arrogant nigger literally replied "i like nothing better than to disappoint some nobody on the internet".

What a joke. RoR the game is good but the staff are douchebags that you should always avoid.
>>
>>382715301

Except almost everyhing that SWG attempted was severely botched in execution.
>>
>>382717206
the staff for private servers are always douche bags
>>
>>382716849
I'm not sure it could be said CoH's contet was little, I mean, sure if you put SWG by it's side it'll surely look barren...But the game did have lots of content added through time, content that DCUO charges for (the "episodes" dlc).

I didn't play COH for a long time but it really seems to me that it'd be reasonable to have a revival project nowadays, game had enough content and had players interact more than most mmos right now, by the way, as I stated before, nothing stopped people from bringing other dead themeparks back from the grave.
>>
>>382705270
I think Jedi should only be as strong as their discipline and dedication to their own strength. So for the most part, Jedi should be fairly weak. Sure, they should all be able to outperform your average thug, but if you took a large handful of the populace and trained them from the time they were about 5 years old to be warrior monks, you're still gonna have most of them turn out to be mediocre under-achievers. It's something you don't see in Star Wars a lot because people want to write stories about heroes. Very few people want to read about a Jedi that has all his masters telling him he needs to work harder, and then he just goes to his room and shitposts all day.
>>
>>382717206
Woah, nice answer, thanks for it.

I was thinking about downloading and playing RoR but I was told that everything beyond level 15/20 was broken and couldn't be fixed/probably wouldn't and that the only "endgame" was going to be this low level pvp...how right is that?

btw I'm sorry for having such bad/broken english, it's not my native language.
>>
>>382718187
No, the game works. All the tiers work, sieges work, scenarios work...

Its just that they have yet to fix the classes that were broken on live like melee DPS WP, shadow warrior being useless, witch hunters being useless in big fights, ect.

But the game does work. The only problem is that the staff are COMPLETE cunts.

Whoever told you that stuff beyond lvl 20 was broken was straight wrong.
>>
>>382717165
Even the player based cities were shit. They were just a cluster of houses in the middle of nowhere. No roads or walls or anything really connecting them or signifying their borders.
>>
>>382717206
I'm not saying warhammer didn't deserve a private server, I play RoR regularly. SnB BO 4 lyfe. My point was just that it had a small playerbase.
>experimental for DoK/WP
yeah idk why they got rid of this. It was a move in the right direction.
>devs are assholes
Yep. There's a few good ones. I think Azarael is probably the best of the bunch. He comes off as a cunt sometimes, but I think he does a good job staying unbiased and actually uses his fucking head when debating ingame mechanics
>>382718187
>Everything beyond level 15/20 is broken
Who told you this? I can only think of 2 abilities from all the careers that aren't working as intended. They're missing city sieges at the moment, but other than that T4 pvp is still the endgame. Some renown abilities don't function, but that's really about it.

By the way, I have the SWGEMU downloaded and ready here, do we have enough people to make a group in it or something like that? I really believe that we'd be able to have some fun together if we made some sort of consistent group.

I had a bounty hunter but deleted it last year, and it seems devs are ALMOST done with the shit they need to work before being able to work on JTL.
