Miyamoto failed miserably where other third parties embraced it. Hell, even his own game (Pikmin 3) didn't embrace the gamepad until a patch in early 2014 he had very little to do with.

A sequel to Zero specifically? I just want them to man up and make Star Fox one of their mature franchises, something like Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, or Lupin III. They're mercenaries charging per confirmed kill, for goodness' sake. If Miyamoto is still alive, StarFox and Pikmin specifically will never be allowed to evolve organically. I agree with you, somewhat, there's a certain maturity they could be pulling with the core StarFox story that isn't necessarily there with other Miyamoto led games that is going to waste.
