Well, I heard Battlestar Gallactica, and Caprica in particular is obsessed with Gnostic mythology. I mean in the gnostic genesis, Eve's real name is Zoe. If I'm not mistaken, that is the name of the first Cyclon in Caprica (I haven't watched it myself, but a friend pointed this out to me) and there are supposedly some really, really serious allegories between the two stories.
