I don't know, I think it could add more flavor to the whole thing to have a small physical reward. Taking ideas on an actual trophy min as well, in chase there's an already iconic Vermin character that would be instantly recognizable.

In HxH, nen is your basic powerset of that world. Most characters have a specific gimmick with their nen. Hisoka's nen has the properties of rubber and gum, allowing him to do sticky/stretchy/swingy things with it.
In one chapter, Hisoka gets fucked up by some dude. He realizes that he's about to die, so he does a nen thing. Long story short, he brings himself back to life with the properties of RUBBER AND GUM. RUBBER AND GUM posting was already a thing due to how absurd it sounds as a special power, and the character using it to Jesus himself back from the dead exacerbated the memes to incredible levels.

Oh, one last thing before I go to sleep, just to troll the thread for ideas:
I saw somebody mention a hypothetical game where Vermin explore dungeons, and it got me to thinking that it might be fun to change format at some point. I have some experience with multiplayer browser games, so how would everyone feel about some kind of ultra shitty Vermin MMO where people compete over 2 days to get the highest score (or some other goal). Something where we'd vote on a limited roster a week in advance, then I'd host the server for a weekend.

At least then we could say we had a tangible vidya.

Just a thought, if people want to leave suggestions or discuss what might make something like that fun, if anyone's interested. Not necessarily for the immediate future, but finding ways of keeping things fresh sounds nice to me.

The mmo things sounds just fucking amazing, I been wanting something like that for a long time, the short period with goals, it's like everyone thinks mmo and expects a stupid no life grind, when the important part is interacting with a lot of other players online in real time.

But that sounds like it would take long to happen (unless you already have something figured out from your experience) What I would like to see in and is probably easier, is some sort of quick but permanent way to make bets or bids on fights, or just root for a certain vermin before the fight, kinda like the voting system in "Quiplash", so there's an extra layer of interactivity between the viewers and the actual fights. So people in real time can share who is their underdog or who is the crowd favorite, maybe when someone has overwhelming votes it's name can be cheered during the fights like in Smash or something.

I worry about the stress and viability of this undertaking. For a long-term goal that can be slowly worked on for weeks, the new game idea sounds like something that might be the right amount of fresh for these threads and the growing fanbase. But I also think that the best course of action is to focus on refining the tourney engine we already have and don't say much of anything about the other project until you are confident about having something working and fun.

Another issue I worry about is the possibility of over-complicating things or causing divisions among people who want different things out of the /v/ermin threads, but that's to be seen if this new game idea comes to fruition.

One of the last collection runs I'm doing. If you want your monster to be an unlockable one from arcade mode, simply reply to this post with your monster+stats.
Size no longer matters, though pic related is blorfs. Above 400 pixels means your monster will likely go behind the hud/offscreen. Average human height is around 240 pixels tall.
No actual humans. Stylised funny humans are ok, but nothing explicitly 'human'.
No nsfw. Lewdly suggestive is alright but that's it.
Stats this time should be around 10 as I need to fill out the weaker monster list, though 13 is also acceptable I guess. Bosses are 20 points.
Size 3 aliased brush for outlines, no shading the colours. I won't be redrawing them this time so they have to be the correct style. PNG so no artifacts.

A quick way of doing it is opening your monster up in paint(.net?), shrink it down to whatever size, add another layer, then outline on the new layer with bright green or red. Afterwards just delete the lower layer and colour the outline black.
