Too many DLC costumes

How can Sony let what was once a huge franchise for them during the PS3 era just die? The E3 reveal for the game was awful, hardly advertised and yet they were still trying to pump out DLC costumes based on licenses that cost more than the profit they made back in the end. The game was officially killed off in Japan too. It's all because Media Molecule were off make no new stuff that Sony gave it to a different studio.

Why the fuck do children's games not give a shit about good gameplay? I freaking loved so much about the original two LBPs but the platforming was so floaty and unfun. The same thing goes for the lego games, I love so many of the ideas have but despite having ungodly amounts of sequels they never even took time to make the gameplay have any substance.
