Having not played DS2 yet I have to give it to Bloodborne. Shitty frame rate, always feel like the game is dragging, can't do it. Cool stuff in the game, but the game feels like it doesn't run efficiently in most areas.

It's like going on an awesome adventure with your friends, except you're the guy holding all the luggage, so you're heavy and slow, and then they start taking off without you.

The only redeeming thing about Dark Souls 2 is the PVP balance. Not even the PVP gameplay itself, just the balance. PVP balance also happens to be the worst reason for playing a Souls game, so that really isn't saying much.

If you are playing Souls like a fighting game, please stop. I did this for years and it just leads to frustration because in the end it's not that deep(unless you go into the Eldritch Truth of Dark Souls 1 glitches, but that's somewhat artificial and you will be playing a different game than 95% of the other people you are playing). PVP is originated around silly, chaotic invasions and that's fine.

Dark Souls 2 is better than Bloodborne.

Nah, invasions are one of the most brilliant balancing decisions they've made. If you want to, you can have the advantage of a small bit of extra health and summon phantoms at the risk of dealing with another player working against you.

It took them a bit to balance it as twink shit in the first two games was outright broken with Dragon Longswords and Elemental weapons at low levels in Dark 1, but beyond that it's the only PVP in the game that's any fun.

People may say that 3 doesn't have an identity on it's own but at least it was fun to move around, in DS2 it was painful (and no, it's not basically bloodborne movement, it's basically DS1 movement, yes, it was already that fast. DS2 slowed it to a crawl.)

Majula is and will remain my favourite hub. It always, always felt more alive than the Firelinks, the nexus and (for obvious reasons) the dream. I liked the development with the characters, as you spent more souls the merchant guy turns from humble to the opposite, not even remembering your name. Game also has my favourite fire keeper and crest fallen guy. Too bad the rest of the game never really called to me aside from the power stance and some of he bosses. Pvp was okay, too.

I'd say none of them are bad for there time.

Demon Souls and Dark Souls 1 feel a little fucky if you go back and play them but they are still good.

People shit on Dark Souls 2 but it introduced a lot of good ideas and had some pretty fun bosses.
