I started off with the original FMA but switched to Brotherhood halfway through. There was a big end spoiler that got thrown at me that turned me off from watching the rest of it. FMA: Brotherhood is excellent, and one of my favorites with a very moving story. All I know is that FMA is a lot darker in comparison to FMA:B.
