Ar tonelico and ar tonelico 2 are both good, but mana khemia is better than them if you aren't a waifufag

Also it's really easy to become overpowered in ar tonelico 1 thanks to it's customization system and ar tonelico 2 suffer feom one of the shittiest translation the world has ever seen, it's so bad that fans started their own translation (i'm not sure they ever finkshed it)

The first one is fun but easy, completed without a single party wipe in 3 days. Still have the second one, still need to play it.

AT1 marked the start of a period when Gust got lazy as fuck. Like... you would never appreciate how good things like Map Design were in Azoth of Destiny if Melody of Elemia didn't show the opposite extreme. That said, you could at least say it was a complete game.

AT2 was a trainwreck. It also liked to bring back popular stuff from previous Gust titles while completely failing to grasp what made them good. (Shop Synthesis is the prime example). Having Best Girl Mir as a waifu candidate did not save it.

AT3 is PS3, so who the fuck even played it.

Bought both day one. I have yet to finish 1 and even try 2.

The surge concerto games are way better though, especially if you do them after doing ART.
