no i had variant of that headset, and there is a small piece of plastic here on the headset that breaks really easily.
>>
Price range?
>>
>>382587147
This.
>>
Nah they break really easy and sound like shit.
Don't be a fucking retard and buy an actual fucking pair of headphones with a modmic or a lavalier mic.
>>
>>382586893
g930??
Got them cheap from ebay years ago.
>>
I've had that set for about 2 years and it's been fine for me.
>>
>>382587147
>>382586893
I've had this exact same headset for years. Never gave me a problem. Cloth thing on the ears is really comfy and loud. Mic quality is great too.
>>
>>382586893
Logitech makes god tier accessories like mices and keyboards, but unfortunately their headset are not the best. I wouldn't recommand this one.
>>
>>382586893
It's shit. As others said before it easily breaks.
If you willing to drop that much money on a headset might as well go for a HyperX Cloud.
>>
>>382586893
sound quality is good and mic is amazing, but others are right when they say it breaks easy. Just be gentle with it and you'll be fine.
>>
>>382586893

It's been a very good headset for me. Had it for about a year now.

hyper x cloud 2 duo (retarded name) are seriously the best headphones

I had this headset twice, it lasted about 6 months to a year and broke both times on the same spot just from repeatedly being set down and picked up.

Id imagine headset from OP would act the same
>>
>>382587621
It's 60 bucks canadian at bestbuy right now

lmao

Man you guys are getting screwed, G430s go for about $40USD on Amazon in the states.
>>
Is there any drawbacks to a wireless headset?
>>
>>382587147
THIS
the plastic bit on the headband breaks.
>>
>gaming headsets
>unironically being discussed on /v/
This board has officially been consumed by underages.
>>
>>382586893
>>382587147
I had one of those aswell since they're like 40 bucks. They just stopped working after almost 2 years but I've never had the plastic break on me. I bought some other wireless logitech headsets after that and those were a massive piece of shit though. Switched to beyerdynamics so I don't have to deal with cheap build quality or shit sound anymore.
>>
>>382587147
Can confirm, I had the red ones. The mic is pretty low quality, and that plastic pissed me the fuck off
>>
>>382588464
The mic handle is more prone to breaking than anything else.

Batteries run out
Bluetooth dongle dies? Have fun replacing the whole unit
Occasional audio latency

They're only useful if you have the habit of constantly getting up from your desk/couch without removing your headphones.

>>382588513

Find a better deal then. G430s are $40 for decent audio quality and a decent mic, most decent headphones start at $40 alone.
>>
>>382587147
also bulky/uncomfortable to wear after 20 min, and if you have large ears, they will definitely not fit well
>>
>>382588630
HD681s or any entry level headphone will cost half of g430 and last you much, much longer - mine are going on five years now and once, in the last month, I had to resolder a stuffed joint. That's it.
>>
>>382588648
This. Fucking hate these type of people.

>>382588630
>>382588513
HyperX Cloud 2 is great.
>>
>>382586893
I wouldn't buy anything from Logitech with a USB plug.
Or just a mouse, that's all.
>>
Get one of these 3

HyperX Cloud II
Steelseries Arctis 3
ASTRO A10

A10s are only $60 USD, Arctis is $80, Cloud is $100
>>
sennheiser game one hands down the best headset
>>
>>382588648
I have yet to see a single headset that doesn't have mediocre build quality that results in it breaking. They know their target audience is used to buying cheap shit that that breaks so that's what they make them. It's like buying a prebuilt computer that will break in 2 years because you're too stupid to build one yourself

Anything other than a headset
>>

nah
>>
>>382592741
You really shouldn't get an analog headset if you don't have a dedicated sound card.
>>
>>382587147
Same here with the G35. Second pair here and they're already cracked with the left outside having a hole where you can see the swivel/hinge piece of the ear muff.
>>
>>382593362
You shouldn't ever get a USB headset, the internal soundcard is never going to be as good as the onboard chip in your motherboard.
>>
>>382586893
Been using this headset for about a year now and is still like new
>>
>>382586893
I have one

It's fine

Logitech replaces these for free if they break, and my friend got a G35 replaced by their fanciest headset to save them the trouble

I'd go for it if it's cheap
>>
>>382593707
you shouldnt ever use the onboard sound either, especially if youre buying a decent set of headphones

>>382593854
Onboard sound is verifiably indistinguishable from any $5000 external soundcard.
The only issue with it is signal noise from the little uninsulated wire going from your motherboard to the front of your case, and this can be bypassed by using the rear I/O audio port.
>>
>>382588513
Exactly what I was thinking

>>382586893
>>382588567
As someone who has owned both the red ones (G230) and the blue ones (G430), the G430 are a definite step up in quality for both sound and microphone quality.

Never experienced issues with the plastic bit everyone is referring to either. G430 served me well for a couple years until the cord eventually got fucked up and stopped working so I had to throw them out.

Also owned the wireless version (G930) after my G430 broke, and as >>382588532 says they are fucking abysmal. Disconnected every 20 minutes on the computer at random and were a bitch to get working again, and the sound quality shat itself every so often.

In short, I definitely recommend the G430 if you are looking for a decent cheap headset. Avoid the G230 (red) and the G930 (wireless).

I use this and its the most comfortable pair of headphones I've used. Problem is they're liable to just stop working if you unplug them too many times. I've had to buy three of thesse fucking things in the past two and a half years. I should stop buying them but I'm impatient and I dont want to wait a week for one to arrive in the mail.

meme headphones

heres some proper gaming ones, now step aside faggot
>>
I have this headset, had it for 1.5 years and nothing's wrong with it so far. Since it's Logitech, they have a 3 year warranty so I'm not afraid of anything happening.
I got a free replacement for my wireless mouse after I sent in a claim because of the scroll wheel not working, didn't even have to send in my old one.
>>
>>382595718
They don't specify the headphones used or how the actual test was made. It's all just "sounds the same to me."
>>
>>382594642
DACs are the biggest meme ever. If you don't hear any buzzing when you have no audio playing, you don't need a DAC. If the volume can go high enough for you to listen comfortably, you don't need an Amp. The only computers I've ever seen "need" an amp are ancient laptops.

Don't believe me? Fine. Go buy that Shit Magni + Modi combo at the entrylevel price of $200. Then you too can have a giant pussy deflector sitting on your desk, so you can listen to Metallica on flac like a true patrician. While you are at it, pay me $300 and I'll spitlube your cables to decrease resistance.
>>
>>382596523

Yes they do you retard.
I linked the conclusion section because I know you're an impatient idiot, there's 20 pages of methodology if you go back to the start of the article.
>>
>>382596523
Thank you for this post, when I turn the volume up too high on my PC I can hear buzzing and I had no idea how I'd be able to fix it.
>>
>>382597139
You don't need a $100 DAC to fix that. FiiO will get the job done and possibly give you a nifty volume knob.
>>
>>382597139
Before you buy anything, plug your headphones into the back of the computer.

It's cheaper and you get good headphones.

I have the Aurvana Live! (they cost ~40€ on their site) and they're pretty good.
There are shitloads of other headphone recommendations from /g/, they even have a general.
They might call you an idiot (which we are or else we wouldn't need to ask for shit like this) but whatever. They recommend you stuff, answer your questions and everyone moves on.
>>
I've had one for 3 years and it will not fucking die on me. I'm probably going to get another gaymur headset so I can have the 7.1 digital surround feature again though
>>
>>382586893
I remember doing research on these and the red version is exactly the same headset but the blue version comes with a seperate PC dongle.

Also I think on console it requires another wire for you to buy for it to work properly, but that bit of info was always debated in Youtube comments for review videos of said headset.
>>
>>382599261
>7.1 digital surround feature

This is snakeoil bullshit in headphones, I hope you realize.

A speaker isn't truly a subwoofer until it's 10 inches across, so already the .1 is a lie
Go listen to that virtual barbershop clip on youtube with plain old stereo headphones, 7.1 headphones are a total scam.
>>
>>382586893
I'm using this shit right now, over 3 years now and still holds up. The problem >>382587147 is talking about is only if you have a big ass head and enjoy stretching the headphones out like a fucknut. It's pretty good, especially if you can grab it on another sale for $30.
>>
I have them and like them. Only problem I have is I have to turn the gain all the way up or the mic doesn't pic anything up.
>>
I got these at gamestop because i needed something fast and didn't feel like doing research, pretty nice so far
>>
>>382586893
if you're used to beaches, make sure a mic has sidetone. i've become so used to it any headset without it gives me a headache
>>
>>382586893
I used to use it for maybe 2 years I dont remember too well. If you have only used cheap wal mart mics this ones not too bad.

but when you actually have some good money to spend you realize how shitty this headset is in quality of everything. Its not smooth and sexy like the image presents itself. In person this thing is like hollowed out plastic makes alot of noise and wasnt a big fan of the coord either.

I would recommend buying it if its on sale for like 15-20 bucks and you're on a tight budget. Even then Im sure theres other better headsets for cheaper or similar price.
>>
What's a good headset for someone with big ears? I had the g430s and they got uncomfortable after an hour of using them.

Im a cheap nigga, bought it for around $40~ and it was a pretty good purchase. Had it for a year now, constant daily use and no problems.

Great price for what you get
Very comfortable and light
Nice sound due to the usb driver (if you have a shitty sound card like me)
Just don't throw it like and autist and it should serve you well.
A plus for the removable cups so you can clean it (that shit gets nasty as fuck)
9/10 headset for a cheapy
>>
It's good except you can't bend the microphone near your fucking face so get ready to scream
>>
my turtle beach stealth 400 or w/e its called snapped at both ears, so i went out just yesterday to go and get a logitech headset.
