in most games, sharks are annoying to fight and aren't even that fun to interact with. Its usually some forced animation you have to sit through as you watch the shark shake you. Freaking Abzu had the best sharks and they weren't even antagonistic.

Everyone hates dealing with water whether it's making it look realistic or making physics for it realistic or having to fight something in it especially when that something has a clear advantage in it

How do you make a good game about animals?

ARK is the closest thing to a great dinosaur game not based on hunting, but even there there's a limited amount of stuff you can do.

A dinosaur or shark based horror game could be awesome if done right, but how could it be done right?

They're a real threat in Sea of Thieves, I'm in the alpha and they recently updated them so they do 50% OF YOUR HEALTH per bite, and they speed up before they bite so it's pretty easy to get killed.
