For the boxes, if you break all of them you get a white gem, when you collect em all in last level before Cortex you will have the gems as platforms to go and unlock a secret ending

Nah relic in Road to Nowhere is easy, High Road is just bullshit because if you want to get a gold or above time in it you have to abuse the ropes. I put 1,5 hours into it, optimizing every turtle at the edge of their platform so that I can make the jump over, and the one time I manage to get one run in it doesn't even qualify as sapphire. I was pretty frustrated.

I'll give it to you, the loading times are long and the restart could be there as well, if only to load the level again.

But otherwise the game is perfected to an extend. Calling it a flawed mess is straight up fucking bullshit and an excuse for how shit you're at it, telling you to git gud is only proper as you can't beat that shit without frustration over loading times.
