I love the appearance of it and its size and lack of a power cord makes it more attractive because I can easily bring it over to my cousin's house without hassle.

I think the Xbox One X can easily handle most games at 1440p with locked 60FPS. If not, at the very least games like FFXV, Witcher 3, Forza Horizon 3 and GTA V should be able to be ran at 1080p with 60FPS.

No one knows that for sure. Sure there are a few examples. like Crackdown 3, but who knows in the future more multiplats may run better on the S. Even if it doesn't hit 60, some problem games, like FFXV, will definitely perform better on the X.

However, a $200 box is hard to beat. No idea why you really want one though if you already have the original Xbone.

If you intend on getting an Xbox console, i'd say wait for the BoneX.

I have a feeling that devs will prioritize their games to run better on the better upgraded hardware, and the default Xbone will struggle sometime soon.

You're already debating spending an additional $250 just for a slightly smaller box. With the X at least you're getting future proofing, and when you eventually get a 4K TV(which you will, they cost the same as 1080p and those are being phased out), you'll be glad you got it. You don't have to buy it at launch but buying an S over it at this point in time is just a bad investment if you already own a fat.

I got my S for under $200 from some amazon points that included a game. Its nice for if you got a 4k tv and pay extra for 4k netflix or just wanna watch hi-rez blue ray, otherwise why bother.
