At that level, a single 30 AP red daily (do the ember ones) gives you several master levels. Each master level refills (and overfills) your AP bar. So you spend 30, and get 90 AP back. Stop progressing the story unless you're literally only got 10 AP and you're done playing for the day. When you can clear 40 AP, you really start raking in the EXP. I get 15.5k a clear at the moment and am already master level 35.

Materials, they are items in the game which are required to ascend characters and upgrade their skills.

There is only the one piece of equipment for masters at the moment, so everyone is stuck with just that one equip.

[Menu] > Enhance > Servant, tap on the servant you want, tap on the grey squares to the right, then click on the cards you want to consume to give that servant EXP. Usually you'll want to use EXP cards for this, although you can also use extra servants you don't want as well.

You will want to hang onto at least one of each servant, though.

You can powerlevel with the dailies, if you want. The first group give nothing but EXP cards and give enough MC EXP to bump you up a level, overflowing your AP and letting you continue.

Make sure to equip that "Beginning of the Journey" craft essence as soon as you can. It hands out +75FP each fight, including when you use NPC supports. That adds up very fast.

And on that note, go to Summons and slide over to the FP gacha. You get a free 10-roll from that every day.

Expect trouble in Orleans. Your first real "boss" fight is there. You'll want a good assassin or two.

There's not much to use a guide for except for using emulators

Just keep rerolling and doing your tutorial pull and then another real pull until you get a 5 star you want
Zhuge liang is best, jeanne and vlad are next best, and artoria and altera are next best
Take herc for your free 4 star when it's eventually offered unless you already roll him

Feed the 20 free xp cards in your present box to your main servant straight away
Then do the chaldea gate daily xp quests, 10ap over and over until your max ap is 20, then 20 until your max ap is 30, then 30 till max ap is 40, then just spam 40ap dailies as much as you can to boost your level whilst feeding all the gold xp cards to your servant

Burn 1 2 and 3 star xp cards in the shop

Change your support party menu so that mashu isn't in the first slot, put your strongest servant there for now

If you just want to play the game, you don't NEED to know about the rest of the series, but you could at the very least be a secondary and watch the Fate anime adaptations just so you recognize some of the characters. Ideally, you'd want to read the F/SN VN and watch Zero afterwards at the minimum, but that really is a lot to do for just playing a mobile game.

Rate Ups give a massive boost in the ability to get a particular character. You might have a 0.1% chance or worse in some cases, while during a Rate Up the chances jump up to 0.5% or 1%. That may not sound like too much, until you realize that the first requires 1000 rolls to get while the second requires 200 rolls, on average.

Well, if you're used to Nasu and general Japanese levels of plotfuckery, it can be a fun trip. However, the Nerowank is real, and I felt that a lot of the character motivations got flanderized just so you could have this nice comfy ending in the last story arc. I mean, pretty much everyone's motivation in the first few arcs seems to get thrown out the window and forgotten about in the last one.

There's also the problem that the story focuses entirely on Nero, Tamamo, and Altera. Other characters have three or four stages where you see them doing their own thing, but the story in those is very minor. So, really, it's the story about Nero, then Tamamo, then Altera, then all three together.

So the chance of pulling a 1% is still 1% with a rate up, but if you nail it chances are you'll get that one.
