The common complaints (movement speed and missing) aren't even the worst. I actually enjoyed the slow movement. It provides a lot of immersion when traveling around, which I really like in an RPG.

I thought this was the biggest appeal of how you dropped stuff in morrowind
You could easily place items where you wanted around a building as it goes straight to where you placed it rather than dropping to your feet like most rpgs
