are you the same op? in any case, 2 characters are uni-dimensional (agnes and tiz, but i like agnes) and the other 2 are rounded and complex (Ringabell after half and Edea).

I played only the second one. The gameplay was fun but the story was boring. I really liked the Exorcist class, it was really innovative. I would like to see a Bravely Third that is not a turd. Please make it with a less gliche story, better characters, better character motivations and more innovation like the Exorcist class. Oh and the musical score was very good in my opinion. I also especially disliked having to grind jp to try out new jobs and the censorship. I think that's all I hate say. I would like to see a sequel just make it not as cliche and boring. A main character that is not an absolute pussy like Yew and has actual wants and desires beyond just "I want to help people" would be nice.

It's hilarious but so far i love Second way more than BD, just did the new game plus thing and it was ridiculously well-done compared to world jumping. I like classes more (catmancer/patissier is beyond broken though), i absolutely love the world building, i like new mechanics, even Yew is a kinda funny guy though initially i've dismissed him as a new generic protagonist.

The only thing that is undeniably worse is OST though.

Anyone else find the new classes in Bravely Second a bit gimmicky? Besides maybe the Exorcist and Fencer, I'm finding myself drawn back to my old set ups from Bravely Default like the Pirate/Swordmaster and Spiritmaster/White Mage wombo combos. I really want to like the new classes but I can't help feeling the old class combos have better utility overall.

No, i think that you're plain wrong. Spellcrafting alone completely changed the combat system, shit like benediction mist is absolutely broken. Patissier and catmancer are a crazy combo that can do EVERYTHING from full party heals and crazy debuffs up to solid damage dealing and being tanky as fuck. Yokai's Echo makes endgame mages beyond crazy too. There's a lot of other strong combos like Fencer/Hawkeye too.

Barras and Holly are adorable.
Wonder if they will open that clinic.

Soul Mirror + Undo Action makes you practically invincible for most enemies and bosses.

Catmancer is godly thanks to white wind alone.
But it also gets hp/mp leech, default breaching, debuffs, physical defence breaching, physical aoe attacks, BP tonic, crazy damage potential with Mass Attack and right party (just imagine a team of mass attacking dual wielding ninjas) and Death Spiral is pretty much Falcon Claw that doesn't waste your turn for setting it up and has a chance to instakill your opponent. It can also tank well thanks to purrfect stance.

This class becomes even better when you double it with Patissier who can give elemental weaknesses for you to exploit with catmancer attacks, amplify potential of status effects so you can exploit Catnap => R.I.P. better or use items on entire party.

The only weakness of this combo is that it requires money investment, but you can grind enough to buy 99 of everything in like 20 minutes on chapter 5.

shut the fuck up you. this game literally made grinding the easiest thing to do. i was lvl 99 by the end in both games no problem.

It's so hard to believe that Alternis is the same as Ringabel given that those two have entirely different demeanour.
Fucking Yulyana is closer to Ringabel.

Guardian is the best tank in the game.
Kaiser destroys random battles endgame with Noble Eagle. Spring of Awakening cucks the post game dragons, and Winter Storm cucks phase one adventurer
