Both games have flaws, but at their core they are both golden games with really great controls and combat. They just get hampered by some poor design choices.

>Vanquish only has all of 4 bosses that you fight twice, and there's very little difference in the things you fight beyond this.
>BAyonetta puts too much focus on witchtime, and having boss fights and selective moments made or break via quicktime events you need to know ahead of time isn't great game design. Also having to redo verses to get Pure Platinum on stages is bullshit.

Not a whole lot, but the environments look pretty samey, it's pretty sparse in terms of content overall, there's only a couple of bossfights that get repeated multiple times (including the final one), and playing with M&KB trivializes the difficulty of some segments since it was originally designed around the limited aiming capability of a gamepad.

Most people seem to play it like a boring cover shooter because they don't utilize all the little mechanics and tricks you have available that allow you to be very aggressive and fast, but to be fair the game doesn't do an excellent job at explaining them.

Sometimes you wanna get as flexy as they do in the cutscenes and thus you begin the road to mastery of jump cancels of the combat system. The Japs always include some insane way to string things together, and once you find it, the game opens up and you get way more fun out of it.

This game launched with a bug that made enemies do more damage the higher your frame rate was and I still don't remember a single thread complaining about difficulty. It really is piss easy with a mouse compared to what I remember with a controller.
