Triforce Quest

Wasn't that the super hard to kill monster or something?
Somehow I get the feeling that this thing was yet another moment that probably made more sense in an earlier version of DS2.

Off topic, but did this game ever come to the Nintendo Virtual Console?
>>382537425
Yes.

Thanks
Fucking rocket bikes in GTA online

>leading a pig from an upper part of the level downward in the only level with multiple points of no return just to get this shittastic weapon
I like it, but I still don't understand what possessed them to do it.
>>382537194
yeah, it had a small chance of even appearing, and was even more difficult to kill before it escaped which meant farming its soul was a nightmare
>that one enemy with around 1000 defense
>you had to cheese it with a certain combo to kill it
>>382538884
oh god someone post the comic about leaving the room before you get the soul because of muscle memory
>>382537219
Similar thing with Shortcuts in P5.
You can just feel that the idea of teleporting to safe rooms came late in development because the entire goddamn game is built around unlocking these shortcuts and creating a safe route to the treasure.
And then you never use them because there's literally no reason to ever go back since you can just teleport wherever you want.
It's convenient to be sure, but it's a damn shame at the same time.
The boat level would have been a really interesting challenge too, since you'd practically have to do it in one go (which yes, every experienced player does anyway, but making that a forced strategy is fun).

You just had to be fast.
He was immune to time stop right?
>What, you sold those shitty useless items from the start of the game ten hours ago? Well, too bad. Now you'll never finish those quest and get the next batch of them unless you trade with a different player!

Wrong image but the Mud Men in are SotN are equally bad if you want to 100% that monster list.
They appear only during one boss fight and even then chances are high that you allready killed him before he can summon them.

It was because of this thing that I called the Crystal Lizards "Tsuchinoko" in Dark Souls
That's small time, friend.
SMTIV's fiends.
>>382536938
Tsuchinoko is like nessie or Bigfoot, but smaller and fatter so more moonies claim to see them.
>>382540873
those are much easier to manipulate and easy as fuck to farm in the iron golem arena
>>382540873
Nice filter you piece of fucking dogshit
>>382540190
Speaking of useless features in P5, how about that Ohya confidant actually being 100% worthless?
>>382541437
Again, likely would have been incredible, but they probably neutered the fuck out of Palace security.
I'm actually on their side there, that would have been a fucking frustrating Save/Reload mechanic if it had been a serious thing to manage. Made all the various items to help with it worthless too though, which was a bit of a shame.
>>382537047
You mean in Wind Waker? I thought going to all of the mini-dungeons and self-contained quests were cool, but the tingle and salvaging part was bullshit. Thankfully they took out most of that latter stuff in HD.

>emulating pre-SP GBA games without a filter
>>382540190
Why would an experienced player run the dungeon again instead of just teleporting to the boss?
I had to do the whole tower climb again to fight Kamoshida because I didn't bother getting to the other side of the gate with the final save point but I didn't get anything special for it. And in the Madarame dungeon I would hit the lasers to reach 95% security but even then I couldn't get a single treasure demon to spawn. So what's the secret?
>>382540686
That wasn't bad at all. What are you going on about?
>>382536938
>>382545217
Sliding block puzzles were a mistake.
>>382545206
Not him but it took me a whole week of grinding to get the Muramasa.
The drop system was really fucking dumb in that game, what with rank charts and RNG up the ass.
>>382541929
It would've been neat if Merciless did away with fast travel and made palace security something you actually care about. It just being Poverty Mode was a letdown to say the least.
>that gold pig in the world ends with you where you have to close your ds to kill it
>Let's add a new long sidequest to the game where you steadily do it alongside the main plot
>actually let's make the sidequest awkwardly grind to a halt by requiring a really rare drop in the middle of it
This and the augment system being trial and error are why I feel the DS remake of FFIV was made by a real jerk
