Reminder that this is the best RTS of the past five years.
If it's so good shill me on it op. I've never even heard of it, I'm a huge fan of rts. Age of myth is probably my personal number 1 though.

Have you played the Homeworld games? This takes place in the same universe, a prequel but instead it's ground-based units with air units to complement. It's basically a nice blend between Homeworld and C&C Generals.
The story is directed really well. Like almost film standards.

What did it have to compete with? Grey Goo? That was even worse than PA.

It still hurts. Homeworld should have just gone calmly into the night. Instead Gearbox dug it up and raped it.

It's a watered down clone of Homeworld and Ground Control that can't decide which one it wants to be.
Full of bugs, the graphics are horrible, the units anemic.
How is it?

controls are kinda crap, and its not very fun

the only thing DoK and Ground Control had in common was that terrain was a big deal in it.
And the command apc unit archtype existed in both, i guess. All the big Ground Control stuff, like the dropship, infantry, unit v unit combat triangles (or octogons, or quadralatterals, i forget how many counters each main unit had), all that stuff doesn't exist in DoK. You may as well say it's a mix of Supreme Commander and Homeworld because of resourcing, the Mothership acts like a commander, powerful and enabling along with customization, but vunerable to danger and unable to deal with lots of scary stuff alone. And also terrain blocks shots too.
