Mobile games are only played by normies who wouldn't know a half decent game if it hit them in the face tied to a cinder block. They're all skinner boxes with pay to win so they'll repeatedly make normies feel like they're making real progress in a game despite it being nothing more than upgrading buildings, and waiting entire days before you can upgrade your buildings again so you can upgrade more buildings. There's no real gameplay to them.

I actually think that smartphones could be really good gaming devices for promoting multiplayer. Pokemon Go is a great example for the potential of mobile games, if only it wasn't squandered by shit developers like Niantic.

I think the real-world GPS location, available data like weather and nearby players, and widespread adoption is a market and technology that is far from reaching it's potential.

Touchscreens only are a shit way to interact, but with the right game and good developers, I think we could get a legitimately good game
