There's still some hope. I'm a teacher and this week one kid out of 13 seven year olds played Terraria.
Also of note the majority of them are really bad at Minecraft. Literally nobody knew how to use keyboard and mouse.

Sure people will but it, they'll buy anything. I found that game boring as fuck though. There was no real hook, I had no idea what was happening particularly and the gameplay was just trash. I should have learned my lesson when The Witcher 2 was really fucking awful.
