They are decent for wonder rushing and culture victories too bad culture victories are the most boring ones, I've found they are best if you annex everything as soon as you can make court houses, before that make things puppets (Just like real rome) and generally use your incredibly high happiness rating to basically curbstomp all competition due to your higher population, constant golden ages, and production.

A variation of this happens every time I play. Only civ that liked me was russia because I dont know, but even they betrayed me after England decided to fuck with me.

You destroyed the warmonger nation, I usually keep them alive so I can liberate some cities and get the good boy points from other civs. This allows me to conquer some cities on the side without negative response for warmongering.

I mostly play isolationist as all hell and slowly build up a massive force to handle anything else.

I normally play the early game land grab phase and then quit.
