I'm more worried about casualizion instead of the game not being on a Nintendo platform, but if it's good I'll buy it regardless of what platform it's on. I also think it's kinda scummy how they're delaying the localization of XX so this will sell better in the west, but I understand it's a business decision and not a personal thing.

Afraid this with flop since it felt like they were really relying on the handheld accessibility Japs seem to love. Might cause a chunk of dropped sales and be the last time we'll get to enjoy the franchise for a while. Hope I'm wrong though.

Can't wait to play a MH game in 4K.

They're making a big gamble on this one. MH has always been popular in Japan due to mobile platforms where people meet up at cafes etc. Now that mobility is gone.

It's obvious they're going for the western market, but MH has never been that popular here. If it doesn't take off big time in the west, Capcom will lose.

I don't know why everyone is giving it such a hard time, to be honest. Promoting all that unnecessary stealth and mechanics taken from vapid western games makes it look kind of lame, but the core gameplay still seems as good as the previous games.

I can't imagine the changes will make the game all that more casualised. Though I suppose having to remodel all the Gen 1 and 2 monsters may mean their hitboxes and movesets are less fucked, so Yian Garuga and the like might not be as good as a shitter filter anymore.

It's going to be the best monster hunter ever made because it's going to be on so much better hardware
