It's hard to, Velvet was very endearing and she had a cast of 10/10 characters to bring out the best in her.

Is this game worth it? I managed to play till the capital and i just couldn't bring myself to continue.

The plot shits itself in the second half of the game so if you aren't engrossed now then I would say its not worth continuing.

The problem with Velvet is that her status as a protagonist is lost potential. Like >>382509627 said, the supporting cast is strong but a number of them outshine her.

Velvet starts strong, an endearing character that goes through a traumatic experience has a strong motivation to progress forward. She spends a good deal of the game slowly warming up to the main and supporting cast to the level of developing trust only to have the writing shit itself in the second half and throw any progression she made as a character out the window. It's sad to see the missed potential. Other party members had completed character arcs that were handled better with less writing.

Velvet was dull like the rest of that cast.

People always bring up Velvet as the strong point of Berseria when everything else in the game is just as bad if not worse than Zestiria. (combat)

he's not wrong, the dungeons/area design are just as shit as Zesteria. Combat and story are a slight improvement though
