Did the cryptocurrency meme comeback strong or something? I just built my computer like 2 months ago and got a 1060 for $200 but now they're all gone or $500

I can get a PNY 1060 for $229, OR an EVGA 1050 for $150. Both available July 13th on Bestbuy.

Is PNY a decent brand? And is there a huge difference between 1050 and 1060? I don't plan to overclock and all that shit. I'll be upgrading from a 650ti.

in late april they jumped in price about the same time amd released their rx500 line of video cards so all the memecoin miners just straight up bought them all as well as any remaining rx480s they could get. i guess demand spilled into nvidias market as well.
