Ive never fucking enjoyed these games. Navigating a huge world in 2D always just pisses me off or gets confusing. I only had fun with metroid for babies (shantai) and really only liked the isolated platforming sections rather than the interconnected world. Ive tried playing various Castelvania and Metroid games and they just annoy or bore the shit out of me.

Maybe i'll like the Prime series though.
