to be fair they did add a mounted machine-gun,

but overall I think Jagex miscalculated the target audience.

It wouldn't have been so bad had they stuck with a ww1/ww2 theme (and attempted to copy Red Orchestra's mechanics for Machineguns) rather than attempt to make it some combination of TF2 and Minecraft,

I have barely touched the game since then. I remember giving a /v/ server a try sometime later, but there were people cheating by flying around and showering the map in a stream of grenades. When I played I only remember there being one map. Seems like things have changed.
