Well. only 2 months after release Switch already got its SDK + info docs leaked. So that'll be the first for sure, considering that it's the most powerful handheld and people will be interested in using it as an emulator, with pirated 1st party titles being a secondary result of all the probing

Hopefuly PS4 (and Xbone I guess but who cares, really?) won't get hacked until 2020/2021, which is when PS5 releases. Devs sure as shit don't get their money back from 75% discounts off Steam sales or the quickly cracked Denuvo games on PC. So PS4 has to carry the weight of the industry mostly by itself.
Sure these consoles won't get a boost in sales like Dreamcast or PS2 did from getting hacked, but developers will be happy that way. The only butthurt people are poorfag pirates and that's OK by me.

What's wrong about the statements? Switch did indeed get its SDK leaked this past week, and most AA/AAA games are sell better on consoles rather than PC, as well as PC getting discounts faster & piracy (there's a thread right now on /v/ about Tekken7's latest patch already being cracked in record time) which results in overall decreased profit (per unit sold) on PC vs Console.

ps3 is a whole other story, and that also took a long while to get hacked up nicely. i still can't really recall anything worth playing on ps3.
