Why aren't you playing old adventure games right now?
Last time I tried the audio didn't work
>>382472579
/v/ hasn't admitted it yet, but Monkey Island 2 is the greatest game of all time
>>382472579
Don't really have the patience I used to for games like Waxworks or Elvira.
>>382472695
nu /v/
sad
>>382473096
this thread will die because /v/ doesn't play games that don't have waifus even though all the good lucasarts games had waifus

Just finished Freddi Fish
>played demo all the time as a kid, always wanted the full release
>20 years later, it's cheap on Steam
>play it, this is leading up to some sort of neat "click battle" with the Squid Boss
>find the objective, confronted by henchmen
>"let's go tell da bawwss dat we's jus' gonna share it"
>2 hours
>I spent more time on the demo as a kid than in the actual game.
How much were these back in the day? $30? Glad I missed out on this as a kid.

Def best music and design.
>those MI3 animations, tho.
>>382472579
That's not a bad idea honestly
I'm too dumb for these games. I can't get past the first chapter of MI1.

>greentexting wrong

"greentexting wrong"
>no
>>382473772
This game and its sequel had some bullshit puzzles.
I don't want to play ten hours just to get stuck in a dead end because Greg slacked off on his programming duties.
Also does anyone have that comic where a guy is trying to figure out how to steal a gem from a jewel case and he tries his hammer and knives and all his items only to discover the solution is to lift the glass?

>Why aren't you playing old adventure games right now?
in 2017 I don't want to solve bullshitting-tier puzzles that were only there to increase the total play-time.

>>382474014
I'll suck your dick, faggot
Play Thimbleweed Park
just as good as the oldies and the puzzles are logical enough even in Hard mode.

is Gilbert an old washed out game designer or is he still competent enough to make monkey island 3a
>>382475123
He's still got it, he just needs to write up a decent story unlike TP's
I've beaten all the Lucasarts games long ago, multiple times. I'm kinda done.
>>382472773what the FUCK happened to guybrush at the end of that game
>>382475832
According to Ron Gilbert, it was a spell by LeChuck.
He wrote a post on his blog about how he would've done Curse differently, though he did really like the game we got.
>>382472773
>tfw played the remaster
>>382474718
that ending fucked me up
