I have over 50 hours, and still haven't won a game that I actually made real contributions to. I have two wins in squad mode, but mostly because I was carried by some really good players who got 8+ kills. Best I've ever done in singles is 3rd place, 5 kills.

I had a really awesome run once in squads. Everyone else in my squad got wiped in the first minute of the match, and I was able to kill the team that killed them, and make it all the way to third place with 7 kills by myself.

I never really played shooters, so most of my time is spent struggling with actually being able to aim and kill someone regularly.

I have 5 IRL friends on Steam, and 51 friends I've met from TF2/CS:GO. I talk to roughly 45 of them all the time, I talk to 4 out of the 5 IRL friends constantly, and they'd probably never buy me any games, yet somehow last year somebody on /k/ gave me the entire STALKER series when I was like $1 short on the summer sale.

CS:GO has "tense moments." Peaking a 2-way corner when somebody is on the other side, whipping around and getting a 1-Deag is pretty exciting. 1v5/4 clutches are heart pounding. On top of that it's one of the most competitively balanced games ever.

Besides, dying just means you wait a few seconds before a new round begins. It's not the same when you've been playing one round for 30 minutes and you've fought your way all the way to the other last guy that remains standing. PUBG blows CS:GO out of the water when it comes to levels of tension

I think GO has more frequent tense moments but they aren't really as tense as PUBG and I find most of the tension in GO comes from the backlash of your team if you choke.

I misunderstood what you meant. I thought you meant Overwatch was better than Halo and TF2, hence my reaction. In this case, you're right.
Halo wasn't necessarily the greatest shooter, but it was more balanced than any CoD game ever was, and it had an amazing storyline and book series to go with it. TF2 was the best class based shooter until R6:S came along, and now even then it's still good but unfortunately Valve is killing TF2. But both are just different kinds of shooters. Overwatch isn't a shooter at all, it's a MOBA disguised as a FPS. And it's a disgrace.
