4K is great for reducing limitations like aliasing (depending on the smaller size of the screen/viewing distance) and increasing image detail.
120fps/hz is great for increasing smoothness of images which allows for faster reactions when you see more frames of an enemy moving
both require a step up in computational power, both serve different mediums.

Its actually hard to notice unless you have a big display because 2160p is 4x 1080p and 9x 720p that's actually one of its big advantages for TVs and media on PCs because the most commonly used formats can be shown with simple integer scaling.
