Apart from the questionable amount of skin showing (this is a detractor to me because I actually really like her attire and this feels like I'm only getting 60% of an outfit for the sake of fanservice), and that her huge tits don't match her slim everything else (once again a questionable design decision for the sake of fanservice), I think it's one of the better designs, and I've thought so since the reveal trailer. The design is for Rex is just awful though.

But I can understand complaints about the more generic anime designs. But either way, it's not like I'm buying this for character designs.

You're implying that internal and fully owned development studios are different, sometimes teams like Intelligent Sytems get their own HQ after working "internally" under a EAD team. And fucking HAL started as 2nd party in the NES days before Hiroshi Yamauchi bought them out completely (Kinda similar to Monolith Soft, ain't it?), but people don't say Kirby games are developed by a 2nd party developer because that would be wrong.)

Also, Nintendo is one of the few Publishers to have many research/development teams under their Publisher's name. Most of Sony's first pary developers have their own HQs and name's.
