i tried it. eh. it lost its charm. i could forgive resi with its retarded moments because u werent meant to take it seriously. this game went down the western fp route and didnt add anything to the genre.

i find fp games boring, so when this reached acclaim i thought it was unique in that regard. nope. literally a first person horror game that doesnt feel like steam early access trash.

Felt like they made the game because of the praise PT got and the outcry it received when it was cancelled. Seemed like a no brainer to cash in on that now longing and disappointed demographic, and it paid off. This got more acclaim and sales than the series has in a long ass time.

Capcom can't even agree on the canon right now. We just had that movie come out, and Chris was still Chris. So either the guy at the end of 7 isn't him at all, or that game isn't canon.

I don't know lads.
I enjoyed RE7 but it progressively gets less and less tense over time.

Jack has an interesting sense of humor and a constant, threatening presence.
Marguerite is always prowling the halls and siccing her bugs on you.
But then Lucas is just not around beyond the TV, and while I rather enjoyed the puzzle segment when you're locked in the room, everything else was just tripwires and enemy waves.
Don't even get me started on the little girl stuff, the boat and etc.
It's a good game, it just feels like a constant decline in quality every few hours.
