this game did one thing pretty well. it showed me what a huge pain in the ass my go to vidya co-op partner is. we play everything together and since it's our first fast paced shooter like that we suck ass naturally. but instead of trying to better himself and learn about classes, engagement ranges and other fine things, he bitches and moans since minute 1 of us playing the beta. enemy team is stacking 3 juggs because of our team's wrath spam, he insists on playing assassin just to get combo'ed to death everytime he engages. holy shit. I am so sorry for this blogpost but I just couldn't take it anymore. 8 hours in and it's nothing but rage on voice. I really want to get into this game but if this faggot doesn't shut the fuck up soon..

It works pretty well but the main issue, for me anyways, is that modes feel too much of the same in that three are single flag variants. The fourth modes with zones is the best. It could also use more maps and either increase the anti-grave zone speed so it's more like sliding on ice or reduce the effectiveness of Gunslinger's omega pistol and Wraith's SMG.

What's to think about? They're fucking ugly. They're not as ugly as Killing Floor characters, but they're also nowhere near as interesting as KF's cast. If you're going to make ugly characters at least give them an interesting gimmick. There's nothing interesting or unique about character design that looks like average every day niggers. Paladins has the right idea. I thought that game looked gay as fuck but I tried it anyway just because Ying, Tyra & Skye are also hot as fuck. Even the Black guy Lex looks pretty cool. Currently have a beta key given to me on Steam, though I took one look at the store page and decided not to bother. The character designs are simply atrocious, both male and female. Sure they have a robot in there somewhere, but that design looked crap too, which is quite an accomplishment.

Looked up some gameplay. Vanguard actually looks fast with that jetpack. Heard she can bunnyhop too. Downloading now.
Oh and just from looking at 10 seconds of gameplay Wraith's gun seems like completely overpowered bullshit. So I won't even have to readjust. I can just keep complaining about overpowered SMGs in this game too.

No, in OW there are hard counters to encourage swapping. In LB, there are some characters who have an easier time outplaying others but everyone can still stand toe to toe with each other

I really wanted to like this game but it just feels like garbage in a way that I cant really put my finger on.

It's like they tried to combine Quake, Tribes and a bunch of other things and just ended up fusing the worst elements of all of them. It's just a clumsy mess where the things that should feel cool actually just feel like stupid gimmicks
