I don't know, so far he's done an excellent job of balancing out the cast. The excuse that they obviously wouldn't all be working on the same thing at the same time since people are on different internships and such is really helping. Like hell Red Riot got a whole fancy transformation sequence and now he's getting his own big fight with Fats. I don't think it's 10/10 or anything but it keeps impressing me and I'm optimistic for the future.

Essentially this. I am convinced people who seriously consume, enjoy, and talk about anime are mentally deficient in some capacity. I don't mean this in a meme way. I mean you would have to be borderline autistic or suffering from some other developmental disorder to keep enjoying anime. Nine times out of ten what you're getting is painfully formulaic - far more so than anything in the West - everything from the character designs, to the story arcs, to the way the characters interact with each other and respond to the situation appears to not only be samey, but effectively done by rote in Japan. It's disconcerting to think there are so many people who are OK with this mechanistic approach to story telling, and life in general. I mention autism in particular because autistic people love what they know, they obsess over it, and they can't stand change. Anime was made for autistic people.

I'd say watch the first season of the anime, then pick up the manga, then watch the second season after finishing the stain arc. Then again, the second season is only halfway done so it's hard to judge how good the stain arc will be translated into the anime

The anime is a carbon copy of the manga. So basically, you don't like the manga either. Complaining about "drawn out" is shitty as well, every single anime thats based on manga has padding, some on a bigger scale, some on a smaller. This one falls on the latter and its not even noticeable unless you're a nitpicker, something you obviously are.

Almost 1/1. There are a few more extra scenes used to expand on some of characters motive, but other than that it's an accurate adaptation of the manga, which is a real good trend that's currently going on.
