It's never going to happen now that there's classless jobs, but conjurer could've easily branched out into Geomancer and WHM. I think it would've been hardest to see a DPS spec for gladiator (Though I'd be pretty hyped to have a sword/shield DPS).

It's pretty good for Susano Ex when you're tank swapping after every tank buster. That way you can start doing your full DPS combo right after you give the other tank your emnity without worrying about taking aggro.

Not so much for the actual content of it, but I feel PotD's independent leveling system would've been a good solution to new players attempting to play with people who've been playing a lot longer instead of the jump potions. Just untether some of the endgame from the quest chains and levels so that new guys can still do important content with others while they're working their way through the main game.

I can't help but feel like the pacing for Stormblood is a bit off. Consider Heavensward, in which the central story arc - the Dragonsong War - wasn't actually resolved until 3.3 and lingered even into 4.0, evidently.

Meanwhile, in Stormblood, 4.1 is months away, and yet we've already liberated both Ala Mhigo and Doma, defeated the big bad and his dragon, and thoroughly trounced every foe with nary a hitch.

It's all happened a bit quickly, to my mind. Granted, Garlemald is sure to respond accordingly, having lost two provinces and its crown prince - why Lyse and company are so sure the war is over is beyond me,
but I digress - but all the same.

That's really what struck me most. The ending to 3.0 was anything but - we caused more problems than we solved (Nidhogg still roaming about, the Azure Dragoon gone, the very foundation of the Holy See broken, and so forth).

4.0, by comparison, ends with a resounding "You're winner." It's not altogether satisfying, and it feels somewhat rushed at that. I would have expected to liberate Ala Mhigo, at the very least for a patch or two.

Matters are made worse, mind you, by SE completely diminishing any impact the fall of Doma Castle might have had, what with retroactively denying Gosetsu a noble death.

Clean up. Doma Castle can't just be kept as a ruin. All those corpses and debree are bad for the environment and it's not like Gridania/Thanalan where it's stone and not really hurting anyone. You got stragglers as well as political fine tuning.

The Eorzean city states are too busy with their own internal problems and Ishgard still has its dragon wrecked ghettos to fix up. So you are likely gonna just be doing turbo errands until an Ascian shows up.

Speaking from experience, Gilgamesh is, well, Gilgamesh. It's a high pop server, so expect queues from time to time, and from what I gather a relatively active raiding scene. Make of that what you will. I can't speak for Leviathan, but either way, take solace in the fact that both are, by default, better than Balmung.

Both 3.0 and 4.0 added five leveling dungeons, three endgame dungeons, two primals (or three, if you take into account Knights of the Round and Shinryu), six new zones (excluding hubs and cities), and the like.

The MSQ this time around seemed a bit shorter than in HW, though that could very well just be me - I can't say definitively either way.

Maybe it's just general fatigue, but I can't bring myself to really get into Stormblood, and certainly not like I did Heavensward. I can't really tell whether this expansion is just a step down in general, or if I'm just burned out.
