If you ever played DayZ, its like that but with all the waiting cut out.
You jump in, find guns in mere seconds, then are involved in firefights in minutes.
When playing alone, its got a stalker kind of vibe where you have to scavange and hide and trek your way to the circle.
When in squads its got short and sweet firefights between squads in an Arma style.
Its a fun game, it managed to take what made DayZ and Arma good and make it into something that works.
Now if only the game didnt run like complete and utter dogshit and had more gamemodes i would be happy

Real talk, there are lots of games that shill through influencers these days. I know 4chan likes to believe that there are marketers lurking in every thread, but publishers and studios don't give a shit about you, they care about influencers with millions of viewers. Now, the thing about that is, even if people with a heavy following shill a game, there's no guarantee that game will take off--which is often extremely risky from a price perspective for marketing teams, depending on which streamers you target. (Streamers are typically signed up for X number of paid hours and that price will of course fluctuate based on their average concurrent viewership.)

There have been a lot of games that got pushed hard by people who command serious audiences and still end up completely failing. That one fucking game, Necropolis, that shit was shilled to hell by streamers and was a complete and total flop.

Point is that while streamers help to get the word out and people will likely try the game if the streamer appears to be having genuine fun, there's no guarantee that they'll stick around beyond day 1, day 7, and especially not day 30 which is how most developers measure retention. So people are actually having fun with it, it isn't "just" because of those faggot streamers--they simply got introduced to it because of said faggot streamers.

DayZ or PUBG? Dayz can obviously never make progress, it was always just a cash-grab by devs who are incapable of improving or remaking the engine, so they just try to mask it and shower everyone with 700 new T-shirts instead.
