Play the games on PC, Modded to look like PS2 and with native widescreen.

Switch it, there's no way to fix it unless you're playing on PC.

Isn't there a widescreen mode setting in the options menu? I know that GTA Vice City has it

There's an option to change from wide to normal, but I think wide just stretches out the normal version, it doesn't actually show a wider image.

SA, VC and III all have widescreen options, but instead of expanding the view to match the screen, it shrinks it.
It looks awful, and is the reason I play in 4:3 or use a widescreen patch.

Trials just make the game blurry and gives everything a double effect.

Go to your display settings and turn off trails. Trust me... You'll see the difference right away.

make sure to get sharptrails it gets rid of the blur the regular trails had and leaves the color instead.

Same, I just couldn't deal with III's shitty shooting and cars are the most fragile in the whole franchise. I played everyone of them and III is just the only one I can't stand playing even though the early 2000's setting us great.
