I beat this shit the first fight the actual first time I fought him. It didn't even seem difficult and I had no idea it was the holy grail of difficult FFT battles. Years later I find out how there's all kinds of strategies for making the fight easy mode. I don't even remember what the main one was.. something about maxing out some Ramza skill. The only fight I had a problem with at first was the rooftop battle with the vampire chicks but I just got unlucky with RNG. Beat that one after a couple tries. Whole game was pretty easy IMO .. had some tougher battles but if you were into it and the class system it was easy.
