I can't help but feel like the next people that develop F-Zero will end of making it like Wipeout. I think that's what Miyamoto fears too.

The problem with this game is that it was too good. There's really nowhere for any future F-Zeroes to go, and AV doesn't exist anymore so they can't just redevelop the same game with more tracks and characters and better graphics.

Then there's no need to innovate. If it's not broke then don't fix it. The only thing that needs to be done is to bring back all the cups and pilots from GX/AX then add new cups and pilots. Add in an all new story mode and throw in some online functions. F-Zero doesn't need to be overhauled.
